The Bucks are well on their way to a fantastic season (great win over the turnover prone Hurricanes...) Now comes the "lull" in the schedule. A few weeks of "lackluster" opponents could mean the games will be over by the half. But that won't stop the tailgate crew... It's the portion of the schedule where we need to "Get Better Every Week" - so what better way then by having Bloody Mary Saturday with 80-100 of your closest friends...
The theme for this week will be breakfast - Bloody Mary's - and maybe an afternoon "Hot Dog" or two (get it, that is where the brunch thing comes from - YAHTZEE!!!). Johnnie "O-Face O" and myself will be preparing a batch of "Mary's" that will tempt your taste buds. Mrs. "O Face O" plans to do some biscuits and gravy - and the "Old Cagy Vetern - JP" will be putting together a "Potato medley" and will have some sausage and bacon... Beyond that - we are looking for some other breakfast type of items. Donuts - eggs - more sausage - bagels - etc. We could also use some Hot Dogs and buns for the afternoon session.
Please post a comment on the blog site to let everyone know your intentions. We have been getting a lot of small donations in the form of cookies - desert type items - etc. These are needed - but we may be getting too many of these. If you don't have a food item and would like to contribute - please add some of the following (we can always use these types of items): Red plastic cups (NOT BLUE...) - styrofoam plates- plastic ware- napkins - paper towels - LARGE trash bags. And if worse comes to worse - bring some FROSTY COLD BEER'S FOR THE BIG WHITE TROUGH OF A COMMUNITY COOLER..
Thanks for all of the support - and thanks for making last week one of the best tailgates I can remember (although I don't remember a whole bunch of that day...)
GO BUCKS!!!

FAB TAILGATE LAST WEEK -ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE "V"! I will bring homemade cinnamon rolls or a breakfast casserole and jello shots! The crew let me down last week - I made over 800 jello shots and we had several left (I hope you enjoyed them Mark!)
ReplyDeleteI didn't see them much... otherwise I would have helped you consume them, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteC-
I did enjoy those Jello shots! I know I am coming in a week early for this request, but I wanted to see if there was anyone out there that might be able to help. A close family friend of mine and his 12 year son would like to come down for the Eastern Michigan game next week. Does anyone have/know of any tickets for sale?
ReplyDeleteNancy,
ReplyDeleteI can definitely vouch that Mark enjoyed the jello shots (maybe a little too much)!! Ha, ha!! :)

ReplyDeleteWe'll be bringing a special treat with us - spiked bellinis. Champagne, vodka and peach nectar. For those of us who can't stomach a bloody Mary but still want a stiff morning cocktail....
