Spring Game Tailgate....................................

WHO'S IN?????????????? This may be a weather dependent thing - but wanted to see what type of interest we would have for this year's game.

Please respond and let me know if you are interested. If this goes down - we may smoke some pork in advance and do crockpots (grill will be available...)

WEEK #9 - THE RETURN OF "POOPY" PANTS...

That's right ladies and gentlemen - "Poopy pants" returns to the Grand Ole Horseshoe - and things could get "sloppy" at some point on Saturday... On tap for this week (after a long two week slumber) is a fan favorite - it's "Eye-talian" week at the "Best Damn Tailgate In the Land"... All things Italian this week as the Bucks clash with "The Second Biggest" rival in Big Ten play... Items that I know will be in "The House" for Saturday are:

- 20 - 25 Eye-talian Sausage Sammies (a JP classic)
- Lots and Lots of "Meata Ball's" compliments of Jenny and Cathy... These meat balls are so good they will make you wanna slap yo Momma (that was in a movie I saw not too long ago... one of the Friday's I think)

Items we could use - ITALIAN THEMED DISHES... let's try and keep things tailgate friendly, but bring your "bestest" Italian dish for all to share in. Also - we haven't done Mimosa's in a while (and I think those are kind of Italian...) so - anyone want to offer up some OJ and Champagne???

Please submit your ideas and I will try and update the group as best I can. The weather appears to be good for this Saturday's 3:30 kick, so - looking forward to getting back after it for the "Second to Last Hooray" of the year. Let's make these last two weeks the best weeks of the year. And... There will be some birthday wishes going around this week! GO BUCKS!!!

Week #7 - Persevering Purdue...

It's time to get back on the horse after a terrible road trip (the game was the only terrible thing - great fans in Madison this past weekend). What better way to get after things than with a little bit of "Smoked Meats"??? The plan for now is Brisket / Ribs / and Shredded Pork. We will do some smokin at the spot and the rest will be done in advance. A few things we could use:

Buns
Sauces (we have a few already - but a few more, even home made sauces would be great).
Side dishes - shredded cheesy potatos go great with pork...
A desert or two
Beer for the community (Miller Lite or Bud Lite)

We owe these punks - so come early to get into the spirit. It's another nooner and the current weather outlook is pretty decent (High of 64, low of 48 - 20% chance of rain). See you all on campus!

Week #6 - "Whose Your Daddy"... Mexican Style!!!

After a "slight" scare last Saturday - the Buckeyes are back home where they belong. It's time to get healthy against a "lackluster" opponent. What better way to celebrate a "Big Ten Beat Down" than with some Mexican style fare... The plan for now is below:

MC and AP: Providing the Steak and Chicken for some "mean burrito's"...
JU (aka Godfather): Rocking the Margarita's like there's no tomorrow...
Items needed for consumption: Burrito shells (soft) - condiments for burrito's (cheese - tomato - lettuce - diced onion - sauces - sour cream - etc).
Other items: side dishes (those layer bar thingy's - a rice dish - guacamole in my shoe's (that's an old Cheech and Chong joke...) - and anything else you can buy at Chipotle - Taco Bell - or El Vaquero...

If you are unable to bring a dish - we can always use styrofoam plates - napkins - red cups - beer for the community cooler - and a bag or two of ice... Please add comments or email me direct (apatrick@stanleyus.com) and I will update the blog.

The weather looks impeccable (74, Sunny, Zero chance of rain...) for Saturday - so come early to enjoy the festivities... I'm bettin the corn hole boards - the LRC table - and maybe even the Karaoke machine will be "in play" for this Saturday... GO BUCKS!!!
